Arrest Warrants

Individuals sometimes learn of the existence of an arrest warrant during a traffic stop. Occasionally the warrant is old, and from another state, and the officer may not make an arrest. Whether an arrest occurs, it is important to contact counsel to determine whether a lawyer is needed in both the state where the individual is, and the state where the warrant was issued. Occasionally the warrant is issued in error, or can be resolved quickly with payment of restitution or an agreement to appear in court.
